Trivia

The Latin term trivia, broken down to “tri” and “via,” means three streets. An intersection of three strees in ancient Italian towns would have a kiosk where information about the towns and services were listed. Passers-by may stop to browse the postings, or simply ignore them. The idea is that the information was already well-known by the residents. '
